About the project
Aesthetic Record is a platform used by aesthetic clinics to manage patients, appointments, treatment plans, and post-care communication. Our work focused on improving internal tools for admins and providers — streamlining how they create templates, manage schedules, and send communications.
These features are critical for reducing no-shows, maintaining compliance, and creating a smooth patient journey.

The challenge
The existing MedTech platform was functional but suffered from common pain points:
Redundant configuration steps
Poor visibility into provider availability
Cluttered template creation flows
Inconsistent UX across calendar, forms, and notification logic
The main goal was to simplify clinic onboarding and day-to-day admin operations without sacrificing control or flexibility.

Health Timeline Template Builder
This tool allows clinics to create reusable procedure templates (e.g. Botox sessions, follow-up treatments).
I introduced:
A clean, focused form layout with clear grouping
Inline “Logic Jump” controls (if/then logic) for adaptive templates
Toggles for required questions and optional descriptions
Consistent field validation and progressive disclosure
This reduced cognitive friction and allowed admins to build complex branching forms without writing a single line of code.
Provider Calendar Redesign
The appointment calendar is a core tool for staff and providers. I redesigned it around:
A time grid with scrollable week view
Direct provider filtering (with persistent checkboxes)
Compact appointment blocks with clear service labels
Smooth interaction for rescheduling and creation
The layout supports quick scanning across busy schedules and multiple providers.
Communication Snippets System
Clinics rely on reminders and confirmations to reduce no-shows. I helped redesign the communications interface to:
Allow toggling between email and SMS
Support dynamic snippet variables (e.g. {{PATIENTNAME}}, {{CLINICLOCATION}})
Offer clear structure for editing subject and body content
Organize templates by category (booking, confirmation, reminder)
This made automated patient messaging both flexible and foolproof.
Results
Reduced time to create a template by ~40%
Higher adoption of communication templates by new clinics
Fewer configuration errors reported by internal support teams
Better user retention among non-technical clinic admins
